Thumbs down Legal video is 16-235 luminance, Ken

Ken,

Not sure if you've checked a lot of blurays for video levels, but BT.709 legal YUV range is 16-235 for 8-bit luma and 16-240 for 8-bit chroma. Full range YUV is functional on Blu Ray, but not recommended at all. That doesn't excuse bad black levels in the active picture, but virtually all content on BluRay from studios should be legal range, not full. What did you use to check it?

Just watched this, had to rewatch the first BD right before. Back to back the two go really well and I was much entertained and together it's certainly the best Mortal Kombat outside a handful of good games. I'm pretty excited for the third "season".

Yes it's a mixed bag, but watch the two back to back. I actually think the two can be edited together with the flashback scenes cut out and it'll work even better.

I own both Legacy I and II and I think they're excellent! Considering the budget and limited possibilities, very well done how they managed to squeeze this result out of it. I also think some of the fight choreography is quite outstanding. Shame about the incorrect black levels of the second season though and where's part 3??

And why hasn't Tancharoen been given the go ahead on a full MK motion picture then? With his vision and a decent budget I'm 100% sure he'll be able to make a hit, perhaps with an R-rating even.

Agreed. I'm stupified it took so long to put out season 2, these legacy films are better than any other live action Mortal Kombat to date, even better than most of the games haha

I have no idea why this is still so expensive compared to Season 1.
