According to entries on Ebay this is not a bootleg but a genuine 3D Blu Ray from Taiwan

Can anyone shed more light on it?

I thought I remembered reading that the image was not 3d at all, the entire image sat in front of the screen or something like that.

Basically they're bad auto-conversions and you shouldn't waste your money. I made a 'wiggle' from one of the screenshots posted in that thread so you can get a sense of what they did

Flat 2D images smeared around a little, absolutely no depth to the image at all.
