Default It's only a matter of time til a ______ movie is made.

Name a movie you never thought would be made and a movie you could see happening in the future.

I thought I'd never see a movie about battleship the game.

So my next guess for Hollywood to make a movie into is: Slenderman.

Well, it's already happened, sort of. Several independent films about Slenderman have already been released or are in production. Here's one:

Lol wow. I guess I was expecting Hollywood to exploit it big time by now.

Akira

They seem to not be giving up on it. If they set it in tokyo, don't white wash it, and stay true to the source material, I'd be pretty excited. But it's Hollywood and their ****ing idiots, so you know they're trying their absolute hardest to make a complete mess with it. They never learn do they

I've heard about them doing this for a while now it never really gets passed the idea stage, the anime set the bar pretty freaking high, no way would this get made into a live action movie without coming off like Dragon Ball Evolution.

Cowboy Bebop, and hopefully in the right hands, Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Super Mario Bros.. Think about it, right now they're making a Sonic the Hedgehog movie. How long do you think it's gonna take before there's another attempt at Nintendo's flagship franchise?

At this point, nothing surprises me anymore. Hollywood clearly ran out of ideas some time ago hence all the reboots, remakes, prequels , sequels and been there done that's. Nothing is untouchable. Nothing is sacred. Nothing is safe. It's all fair game for the machine.
Yes, there is the rare, mostly original film but they are rare.

I never would have thought Guardians of the Galaxy. Of all of the Marvel teams/heroes this one caught me by surprise. I haven't read the comic since the early 90's but to me it looks good. Ant-Man seems to be reaching though.

As for a movie that has not been released, a George Carlin Biopic. We had Lenny with Dustin Hoffman. But a good all aspects covered about good ole George would make me very happy if done correctly. I'd personally like to see it as a 4-6 part HBO miniseries spanning his life.

It's only a matter of time before we see remakes of Casablanca, Citizen Kane and Jaws.

Given how the MCU is running a muck, it's only a matter of time before we get movies of lame superhero teams like The Defenders, West Coast Avengers, Great Lakes Avengers, and Alpha Flight.

Hollywood is so shit out of original ideas I can see almost any comic/tv show being made into a big screen adaption. I remember there was talk of Mark Millar's Superior and Nemesis possibly getting a movie. Both comics are trashy and typical Millar trying shock value, but that won't stop Hollywood.

Ok so here's my prediction list of possible reboots/remakes/adaptions

Voltron (Michael Bay reserved?)
Power Rangers
Gremlins remake/reboot
The Raid (ultra gritty PG-13 US remake)
Back to The Future
Toxic Avenger all dark and gritty
Starship Troopers ( Hey let's put Colin Farrell in this too!)
Mortal Kombat
Mass Effect

I'd love to see it more than anyone. Unfortunately, these days it will probably get saddled with a PG-13 rating, hence the apropos title, "Seven Words You Can Never Say in Film Again". Because nobody was more family friendly than George Carlin.

It's only a matter of time before a Star Trek vs Star Wars film is made. [insert JJ Abrams joke here]

If they do, I want to see the Borg assimilate the Death Star.

Frankly, I never thought we'd see a second Bad Grandpa movie, never mind a first. With the slew of bad superhero films in recent years, and Hollywood quickly running out of ideas, I think it's simply a matter of time before Howard Stern's Fartman is made into a full-legnth feature film. This is guaranteed to blow away the competition, if it doesn't clear the aisles first.

I'll go you one better: it's only a matter of time before we see a new Bogart movie.

The tech isn't there yet but it's getting close and I wouldn't be surprised if we see convincing virtual humans in the next ten years.
