Is this the same as the Reel Heroes series?
I was hoping they would release World's End in the next series, but guess not.

I saw these in a uk HMV store but as a slipcase over a DVD.
Not great. Very flat colours and kinda blockie.

Didn't take a picture as I had no idea there were upcoming Steelbooks.

Were they just the covers of the amarays basically? I'm guessing that or the theatrical poster art?

I can't think of too many "iconic" images for most of these.

Why can't they give us some variety with these steelbook releases? Universal is turning into Fox with their 10 different slipcovers for the same movie.

It's hard to describe. They had about 6 titles there. They are very similar to those lame recent Fox Steelbooks (Big etc).

For example, the Big Lebowski was a bowling alley with a White Russian above it. Just pretty boring.

Some of those look ok. That Dazed and Confused one would look pretty cool as an embossed Steelbook, but that will probably never happen.

reminds me of the House of Flying Daggers or Thin Red Line UK steelbook releases. Meh.

If they did Fear and Loathing with a Ralph Steadman cover, I'd be all over it, but I suspect more lameness.

Jeez, if those will be the covers than this will be an easy pass for me. Those are awful and should be called "forgettable covers" instead of iconic.

Pending artwork, I'll likely double-dip on Scott Pilgrim too.

Would absolutely love to see a Hot Fuzz and World's End steel to go with that Shaun of the Dead one though (or just a World's End comic style steel to go with my other two).

I dont mean to sound mean, but I kind of hope thy cancel these, because then i have to

Double dip on An American Werewolf in London , all ready has an UK Steelbook.

Double dip on The Big Lebowski, allready has the Comic Book Art US Steelbook.

Double dip on The Blues Brothers, allready has the Comic Book Art US Steelbook.

Double dip on Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, well this one has a Criterion Blu ray that is hard to top!

Psycho, this one I dont mind, even though there is a UK Steelbook out there that has the rating logos.

Tripple dip on Scarface, US red edition and Comic Book Art US Steelbook.

Tripple dip on Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, UK edition and Comic Book Art US Steelbook.

Tripple dip on Shaun of the Dead , UK edition and Comic Book Art US Steelbook.

Are we sure these are steels? No where on Amazon does it say that they are... Maybe I missed it..

I wouldn't mind getting one or two of these only because I would only be single dipping....
