Presumably it will be releasing shortly before the next season (just like most shows).

The special features are a bit underwhelming. I

I don't understand the episode recaps bonus feature. If you own the season, I'd assume you're going to watch the episodes (and not need recaps).

Still, I enjoyed the season. I was sad to hear this show is only going for 3 seasons, but what can you do?

I love this show but this season (particularly the ending) left me really disappointed. That being said, I still preordered.

Excellent show. Excited about this set as well. The first season had some nice extras so I'm pretty excited to see these.

Not everyone watches the entire season within a few days. And a week later a recap can be helpful. On TV they are also only a week apart. I also hate it when the recap is always played when you watch 2 or 3 episodes in a row. But as a selectable feature it's a nice addition.

That being said I'm also underwhelmed by the special features. I've read that they shot 10 episodes for season 2 but completely reshot the first one. Would have been nice to see the original version.

I also liked the first season more than the second one. I think it was a dumb idea to reveal early in the season how one storyline will end. But the second season was still pretty good and I hope for a great final season.

They actually re-shot big portions of the first 2 episodes and rewrote the entire third episode. From the Hollywood Reporter from 6/19/13: "Sorkin rewrote the season's third episode and found a way to reshoot large swaths of episodes one and two. The season order also was cut from 10 episodes to nine. "There was a certain amount of surgically organized reshooting whereby we kept everything that we possibly could, but some of it was a bit repurposed or moved to a different place," explains Poul of a move that cost HBO several million dollars. "

Can't say I'm liking Amazon's idea of the price for release day. Best Buy has it for $39.99 and usually Amazon will have matched it by now...

It is one of my favourite shows, it's a shame that there is only going to be one more season comprised of 6 episodes. I am asking for season 2 for Christmas.

Mine is now preparing to ship from Amazon. I've requested cancellation. The fact that they won't even match Best Buy's $39.99 is crazy. $57.49 on release day for one season when every other HBO show goes for between $29.99 and $39.99. Not on...

Yeah, Amazon has given up, it seems. This year will be the least I've spent at Amazon in over a decade. I used to order from Amazon feeling safe that they'd match the lowest price advertised at Best Buy/Target/Wal-Mart, but they seem to have stopped that. Combine that with the horrible packaging and lack of a price match policy and Best Buy has now been getting almost all of my business.

They still have time to match Best Buy. There was a time when I'd post that it would 100% happen. I can't say that anymore, though.

They finally just dropped the price to $39.99.

Nice for them to do it now, after I canceled my order 2 days ago. Hitting up BB for it later if they don't have it, I am back to Amazon.

Mine had already gone to preparing for shipment so I had to email them to cancel manually. Fortunately I gave it one last try in the email and asked them to match the price and if not cancel it. They didn't match but did advise they would refund me $17.50 from my order. With the way they set it up (not adjusting the item price, but rather doing a refund) it looks like I may actually end up with it for $22.49 now that it's dropped to $39.99.

The refund would have been automatic anyways. Amazon's policy is to honor a price match up until 11:59:59 PM on the day of release. I'm just glad they didn't do the shitty thing they've done in the past and and price match on Wednesday leaving the folks who pre-ordered stuck with whatever higher price they paid.

I think you misunderstand. They've applied a separate refund of $17.49 to my order which is NOT the pre-order price protection one. So, when dispatching (as it still hasn't yet) I should be charged $39.99 and then get the $17.49 refund on top.

Wow sad indeed. It was fun while it lasted. Well I guess I'll watch it from the beginning again. That's the great thing about this series is you can watch it multiple times and catch something new evertime.
