Default Across the Universe / Once

The two films that I'd wished I hadn't missed in theaters this year are ONCE and ACROSS THE UNIVERSE.

What're the odds that they'll show up on Blu ray soon?

To me Across the Universe was amazing, I loved it truly. Im sure sony will release this definitely since they are releasing that horrific lindsay lohan movie. Can't wait indeed. It was made for Blu-ray.

That's exactly what I said when I saw it...

The good side of this (being a sony title) is that I've convinced several people to pick up a blu-ray player solely for the purpose of this movie!!

Here's hoping for a 7.1 PCM track

I really wanted to see Across the Universe in the theaters, but it only played for a week in one theater in my area, and I was busy that weekend. I figure I'll buy it on Blu. My wife is a huge Beatles fan, and super picky about music, so I'm really hoping the musicians did quality work with their covers. I liked what I heard in the trailers, but I don't have near the ear she does.

I actually liked a few of the covers more than the originals (2-3) and the rest I thought were very well done.

They aren't trying to replace the originals... the movie is all about giving the songs a context (maybe not the intended, but one that fits within the movie storyline).

It was one of my favorite movies of the year and I can't wait to see it on BR. I'm hoping there's some good commentary tracks and other stuff to go along with the inevitable wonderful lossless track and amazing encode.
