They've offered this off and on for years. I think they use it mostly during the holiday buying season, though they just activated it again about a month or two ago - so they must be getting a headstart. Never thought it was very enticing myself, so I've never done it, especially when some have reported their non-prime no rush shipping as being beyond slow with an increased risk of damage. I'd be more tempted by 25 cent off my next order or something. But that'd be about 25cent more than what this offer is costing them, so it likely won't happen.

FWIW, I haven't had any issues stacking the credits. Just used $10 of credits that I had accumulated through this promotion to purchase a movie.

In the past I think the terms indicated something along the lines of not being able to stack credits, but you could. I don't see anything in the current language in the terms and conditions about this anymore. |

On another note, has anyone not been receiving their promotional credits?
I got 6 in the first half or so of August. But since then I've made about 4 more orders and haven't received the promo credits for those yet. With the first 6, I would get the promo credit email at the same time as the shipping notification email. But with the last 4 orders, I've gotten the shipping notifications (and in some cases have actually received the product) but still no promo credit email. I looked at the terms and I don't see anything in there that would have made my orders ineligible. Nothing about max limits on how many a person can get or how many in a certain time frame, only that it ends at the end of Oct. Any thoughts? Or anyone else not receiving their promo credits? |

Just FYI, Lifehacker recently had an article on how to get this deal with multiple items and still (maybe) get two day shipping.
Break your purchase up into individual orders, then choose No Rush shipping on all but the last one, leave that one as Prime shipping. That way, you'll have multiple $1 credits and it's likely Amazon will still ship all of your packages together with the 2-day shipping to make it easier on them. |

With this promo I have just gotten to dividing all my orders to include only 1 item each to maximize the number of credits I get. But I have noticed that sometimes AMZ will bundle multiple orders together in 1 shipment if they were placed around the same time. Earlier on in the promo I purposely not only separated my items into separate orders but also spaced the orders out by a few days to decrease the chances that they would ship out the items together. I'm not sure why, but for some reason I wondered if they shipped out the items together they might only give me the credit once for the entire shipment and not for each individual item/order. I think at some point I realized that was not the case, they give you the $1 credit for each separate order even if they ship out together. I'll still probably set everything to no rush shipping to get the max number of credits, especially now that the credits can be used for physical books. |

No, the video credits that they awarded earlier in the promo only work for AIV videos.
However, sometime maybe in Sept or Oct they switched the promo credit you could earn from video credits to book credits. The book credits can be used on digital or physical books. I believe both types of credits stack, but they can only be used in their respective categories, they are not interchangeable. Unfortunatetly, I'm not sure what to get with my video credits. I have $11 in credit and was thinking of getting BSG S1 in SD when it was $9.99. I hestitated because I wasn't sure if I should spend my credits on the SD version instead of holding out for a HD version at some point. In the end I finally decided just to go ahead and get the SD version, but now it is no longer on sale. ![]() Now I'm considering The Following S1 (SD) but I'm not sure. |
