“What’s interesting about this new DisplayPort 1.3 and its predecessor, version 1.2a, is that some experts in the TV field feel they may offer a better connectivity solution than HDMI 2.0 for some of the high dynamic range, faster bit rates, expanded color gamut and greater bit-depth elements sought after by purists in developing next-generation standards for Ultra HD, such as the pending 4K Blu-ray Disc specification. - See more at: http://www.twice.com/blog/tarr-fetched/displayport-13-better-uhd-tv-hdmi/54029#sthash.ic6xRjoo.dpuf |

Video guru Joe Cane said that Display port 1.2 is better in the video department than HDMI 2.0 not to mention Display port 1.3. You would need 4 HDMI ports pass an equal amount of video that 1 Display port 1.2 can pass.
