Using the Playstation Eye as a security camera - Blu-ray Forum

I was thinking that it would be really cool if you could use the playstation eye to transmit video to your psp anywhere in the world, sort of like those security cameras that send video over the internet.

SCE has mentioned this as a potential future feature in the Eye crate software and remote play.
