Also seems like this is Criterion's most diverse month probably since releasing the WCF set.

Recently discovered Fassbinder and The Bitter Tears Of Petra von Kant instantly became one of my favourites.

So happy about this release.

There is a German Blu-ray of I Only Want You to Love Me out, but it doesn't have English subtitles. It's also out in France with French subtitles.

Glad that Criterion are releasing two of his best films now, but we need more Fassbinder on Blu-ray, a lot more. the man was so prolific, sometimes shooting up to four films a year. I recently caught Martha for the first time, which is now one of my favourite films of his. It features an absolutely stunning camera move:

Great review, the screenshots are eye candy for sure. I will have to purchase this title this month. Michael Ballhaus did tremendous work before he came to the U.S. and another one of his films he shot will be out also in January Working Girl. Huge talent. For those unaware of the many films he shot look him up he has done it all.

I cancelled my pre-order for this and now I'm kind of regretting it. I didn't really like the film until the last scene, which blew me out of the water (being uneasy about the rest of the film made me ultimately cancel my order). But, I may just get it during one of the B&N sales.

I love that film and and really wish they would release it with English subs!
Would also like to see Angst vor der Angst (1975) and Why Does Herr R Run Amok? (1970) get released
