Pirates released as trilogy - any plans? - Blu-ray Forum

I was in Best Buy yesterday, looking at the first 2 POTC, considering buying them for my wife for Christmas. I know the third movie is being released in December.

Any plans to release this as a trilogy?

i dont think there are *currently* any being released, but i wouldnt doubt a boxset with extras next year

Honestly, all 3 movies have been released with the highest quality to date, I don't see the need for a boxed set anytime soon, but a collector's case for order if you have all 3 would be kinda nice...

I think Japan is having a box set, but have not heard anything for the North America.

They should have a mail in offer or include a collector box set for the other 2 I have so it will be complete.

The two Pirates films have been a part of many BOGOs, but I've held out because of two things:

The eventual boxset packaging, which might look spiffy; and
The upcoming remastering of COTBP, to redo those 34 1/2 individual frames that are a huge point of contention with those who can't watch any Pirates films on their systems.

I'm sure your wife wouldn't care for either of these points, though. Make her happy for Christmas, get her the three films individually.
