Sweeeeeet. I know that's only temp art but the standalone release as pictured would make a badass slipcover.

Maybe they will stick with it. It looks like they put a bit of effort into it instead of just getting the movie poster and sticking a Blu-ray banner at the top.

As per Catching Fire, I'll see what transpires across various territories for this one.

Saw it at midnight showing and already pre-ordered it!!! Will it drop from it's current price tag £18.50? And if so will my Amazon Pre-Order automatically update it?

PS. Hopefully they keep the cover for the regular blu-ray!

I agree. Its a bit like those fools who bought the Harry Potter 1-7 part one movie set. You know there is only one more film due to be released, why have a box set and one film on its own.

Its not like the transformer or fast and furious box sets. Its ok to get them as you will unlikely know when the last film will be for a long time. The Bond 50 set is ok too as it cleverly only has the films from the first 50 years of Bond.

The Amaray is only £13 at the moment. Doubt that price is going to be beaten before it comes out.

Yes, but it doesn't happen immediately. Check in a couple of days and it should have the lower price.

The same people who bought all of the various incomplete Harry Potter boxsets that came out whenever a new movie was released. Besides, there are always people who get into these franchises a bit later in the game than the rest of us, so a triple (or whatever) pack is a handy way of catching up. The studios wouldn't keep releasing them if they didn't sell.

As for the price, Catching Fire was £13 on release (remember that there's no 3D surcharge) so £13 for this one is fine by me. Wouldn't be a surprise if they skimp on the extras this time though. We might get a commentary and a few featurettes but I reckon they'll save the long documentary (like what the first two movies got) for the last one seeing as they were shot back to back.

I just hope that the PQ isn't nobbled by banding like it was with Catching Fire. Lionsgate need a better ****ing encoder, not least because MJ Pt 1 takes place in lots of gloomy underground spaces which could equate to a banding bonanza.

Regular BD for me. As someone said above I hope the slipcover matches the rest, that'd be groovy.

Same thing I thought when they had a showing of all the films thus far at my local cinema. I was going to go to it, then I thought, what's the point, there's only one more film to be released, they'll probably do one when that comes out. Plus I don't really have a god track record with J-Law films, so what's the point of watching 3 films when I might not like the first one. Getting the steel as well, but will wait for a price drop. The first 2 I got from Thats Entertainment.

We won't know anything at this stage, but I'm guessing there'll be a bonus disc with the 4 pack or some kind of mega-deluxe edition with all the store exclusives of previous releases.
