Only two commentaries? Sounds like very early intel. Would rather wait for the extra details in forthcoming news, but at least we have a (yet another early) release date. I rather they take the time to make sure the video encoding isn't screwed up for the third time.

That's sooner than I expected. Given that book 3 took 4 months since August to come out I would have thought book 4 would be out by April.

Are Nick actually bothering to trace the ratings this is getting on their website? I assume they put them there to burn off the last of them because they don't much care.

Such a great season and I'm still surprised that Nickelodeon actually released it on Blu-ray and continued to do so, given the supposed waning popularity of the series.

Well, however one thinks of the series as a whole, I can't imagine anyone would look at this and say it ended on a low note.

IGN recently revealed the Blu-ray cover for Book Four:

Rather plain, in my opinion. At least compared to Books 1-3.

So they just took the one sheet, but remove Kuvira and added the background from the final episode (which is a slight spoiler, but no one would notice). I had it figured that would be the cover for Book 4, if only for Korra.

So they brought back the dumb Puppetbender extra for part two, along with the NYCC panel that can be easily find online and likely uncut (Janet swore on that panel. I know, I was actually there). Kinda stinks there's no inclusion for the web-series Republic City Hustle, and it seems like they're done with animatics as of this set.

Yeah I REALLY hope that not all extras are revealed yet! There has to be more... It is the FINAL season after all! Maybe a retrospective doc for Korra, like Avatar Spirit?!!

I also think Korra herself looks odd on the cover. Her eyes look all weird! There are a lot of other poses and artworks they could've used...

Once they list the extras, that's pretty much it. There hasn't been any new extras to surprise us since Book 1, so why change the routine?

EDIT: BTW, thank you for the documentary. I thought it's impossible to find a good video of it since the one for the Collector's Edition is OOP.

I guess there's something to be said about being grateful we've gotten the series on BD at all, but some of the handlings have been questionable to say the least. 1080i, ghosting, sparse and unsubstantial extras, etc. Nevertheless, I'm going to enjoy this series from start to finish multiple times over the years. I'm glad Nick let them wrap it up.

Apparently, the 1080i thing was just an error according to the book 3 thread. The episodes are still encoded on the disc as 1080p I believe.
