Default Talladega Nights how to tell which version you have?

I just got Talladega Nights from Amazon.com brand new but I was worried that I might have received the wrong version.

The disk says "Not for Sale".

It has extras and a PCM soundtrack but the writing has me concerned.

That is the PG-13 version that came with the PS3, not the unrated version that was released individually.

Very strange that it says Not For Sale. That would indicate the PS3 disc. But theres no reason why Amazon would be selling that. Unless you bought from a third party on their site?
I bought it from Amazon.com directly under the understanding that it was new and it had the factory seals on it.

It has two rings, BVDL written on those rings and the listed features for the retail version but for some reason it has "FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY NOT FOR SALE" and "Playstation 3 Compatible" on the label side.

This is a bit of a mystery. Perhaps Sony messed up the label on some of the retail version runs?

Does the PQ look better than the PS3 version? I'm so glad that at launch I decided to try other blu-rays after watching TN. I thought it looked a little rough.

yes the one you can actually buy is the Unrated and Uncut version the PS3 version is the PG-13 version and plus you should check the disc just to make sure you got the the Unrated version

I don't know about mixed the packaging. Mine says Unrated and Uncut and I saw it and it's actually different from the version I saw in theaters. But it does have that NOT FOR SALE print.

You can't talk like that Billy Bobby is a Winner, just j/k in but the movie is hilarious although I would not ReBuy on Blu. The makeout seen at the end didnt kinda ruined it for me if that did'nt exist the movie would have definately been a lot better "Not like theres anything wrong with that".

Ricky Bobby: "If you're not first, you're last."

Cal Naughton: My new Nickname is the "Magic Man", now you see me, now you don't.
Ricky Bobby: "Thats Stupid"
Cal Naughton: Your just mad because your did'nt think of it.
Ricky Bobby: Yeah it's a Kick ass nickname

Ricky Bobby: From now on, it's Magic Man and El Diablo.
Cal Naughton, Jr.: What does El Diablo mean?
Ricky Bobby: It's like Spanish for like a fighting chicken.

Ricky Bobby: I wake up in the morning and I piss excellence!

Yeah that was good, the whole movie you were kinda regreting the purchase but then the mid-end came and it was was awesome. The cool blue animation/cgi menu stuff within the movie was really neat. I'm gunna watch that tonite actually now that i'm thinking about it.

Alright guys so after opening my Talladega Nights BD today (from Deep Discount) I noticed there was something funky about the disc. "For promotional use only. Not for Sale", "Compatible with PS3" and PG-13 rating and no Unrated logo. Hmmmm... immediately I knew there definitely had to be something wrong with it.

Why would Sony do this crazy mix up? Anyone know their Customer Service number to talk to them about this?

Thanks guys.

Well Sony PS3 did offer a different Talladega Nights BD when you bought the PS3 system, different than the Retail Version, but someone else would have to elaborate more on if there is a difference in quality.

Looks like one is Unrated and 50gb disc, and the one the ps3 edition is pg-13 and a 25gb disc. Same audio features and looks like the picture quality is the same on both

Yes. One is Promotional (PG-13) the free one found on the PS3 and the other is the purchased copy (UNRATED). Sony has stuck Promotional copies to their UNRATED packaging (the one customers are PAYING for, in my case and others above). Am trying to figure out how to get a replacement because I clearly don't want to get stuck with a Promotional disc that was meant to be Free in the first place.

I'm surprised they are selling discs that old. I've only even seen that promo with launch PS3s.
