Pootie Tang in: Sine You Pitty on the Runny Kine (2001)- Why is this film disliked?

With Chris Rock's Top Five being released, I began to think back about how much I enjoyed Pootie Tang, which seems to have been disowned by everyone. The audience is seemingly in hiding, the writer/director Louis C.K. hates it, etc. But I think it's goddamn hilarious. I am currently rewatching it on Netflix, and it is just as good as I remember. Are there any other fans out there?

I saw bits of it back when HBO first showed it. I neglected the DVD and now the DVD is scarce and quite pricey. A Blu-ray upgrade would be welcome. Maybe in line with the release of Top Five on Blu

I found it in a triple feature at the Family Dollar in my neighborhood. $6 for this, Head of State, and Down to Earth. Didn't buy it; still there as of last weekend.

Rewatched this last year. It was available for streaming on Amazon Prime, not sure if it still is. Sa da tae! Yeah, this is a funny ass flick. Don't forget about that single!
