Default What is the saddest movie you would like to see on Blu-ray?

I have been thinking, there are so many genre of movies, most people get an action film or artsy film for the system to show it off. But I was wondering if there were any sad, tear-jerker movies that deserve a Blu-ray release. Sometimes a good tear-jerker is what you need. (not now for me, I am so in the christmas mood, but I remembered one title that is very sad I would love to see someday)
(If you want to move this to off topic be my guest.)

The only 2 movies I can think of are:
Finding Neverland (on BD already)
and Grave of the Fireflies.

The DVD for grave of the Fireflies is very disappointing. It is widescreen but not anamorphic, and so it does not fill my TV when I watch it. It is a beautiful title that is worthy of an HD release but I just don't know if the company that owns it/distributes it would be willing to do this. They did such a bad job with the DVD, I only hope it gets a decent HD release some day.

The Green Mile,

That movie almost (ALMOST, so I get to keep my man card) made me cry at the end. It was like Old Yeller but with people. Was a great film.

Sorry guys, I've gotta go with a semi-chick flick on this one.

"The saddest movie you'd like to see on Blu-ray"?

What the hell kind of a question is that? Is there a sadness to image-quality ratio I don't know about? Why not let movies speak for themselves while the format stays out of it?

Blu-ray. Making Sad Movies Sadder Since 2006.

These are some great suggestions. I would love to see The Green Mile on BD too.
I will check out some of these others as well.

If you read anything beyond the title of the thread, you'd see it was about the genre of tear-jerker movies... not pathetic movies.

I want to see these great films in the best quality of course.

Brokeback Mountain. I don't cry at movies since Ol Yeller or Bambi when I was a kid, but I did cry during this movie. Openly.

I could say that this movie made me gay, but I already was before I started watching it.

The House of Sand and Fog(Dreamworks)

I seriously sobbed like a baby at the end of that movie. One of the most depressing/moving movies I have ever seen. Ben Kingsley should have won every award known to man for his performance in that film.

A.I. - When the little boy is miles underwater in a dying sub repeating to the blue fairy statue that he wants to be a real boy, and THEN when he is granted one last day - just a day - to be with his mom.

Weep city, baby.

I dont really watch sad movies, but...

She's Having A Baby. At the end when Ali Sheedy is giving birth and you think she's died in labour. Kevin Bacon proves his acting chops once again (excuse the pun!). I thought that was brilliant the way its a comedy all through, then all of a sudden it turns on its head.

Same as Planes, Trains & Automobiles where John Candy turns out unexpectedly, both John Hughes classics. Not the weepies you'd think but both have you feeling that lump in your throat.
