Default New Dodge Demon concept

Have you guys seen this yet? The Dodge Demon. "supposedly" it's set for '09.
2 seater, 4-cyl, rear wheel drive!!!, and set to be around 15K! Sources say that if the car is launched in '09, '10 will hold an srt-4 version w/ 300 bhp rollin monster 19 inch alloys for a low-cost trademark srt-4 price.

This car is Dodge's fight back at the 350z, g35, z4, sky, etc. obviously can't "compete" with a Z but I guess they just want to be in the market category for roadster. And I'm sure they'll get a lot of attention with its price tag and rear wheel drive which is super exciting for a lot of people

I'm DEFINITELY getting one of these if they do come out. But I'll wait for the SRT-4. I'll trade in my cobalt for 8-10K and make tiny payments

That backend looks a lot like another Japanese car - The Nissan 350Z roadster. Hmmmm....

Actually, it looks like Dodge is trying to gain some attention from success of the Saturn Sky and Pontiac Solstice. They still are having a hard time keeping up with demand on those things. But you are right, this car has been done for years, most famously the Mazda Miata (or whatever they are calling it now). The S2000 was even after that.

I was about to write up a note about how Dodge is a German company, but it appears they have been sold again. LOL. American again!

Hey,

I was going to say I would rather have the S2000 but looks like I'm not the only one to see the similarities.

I only buy Honda now. I was a big Mopar fan till I knew better.

Of course even though it looks like a S2000,... The to me S2000 still looks better.

But the Demon will actually come with a lil' bit of torque The SRT version probably wouldn't even be a close comparison, especially for the price.

They just ripped of Honda and Audi.

The front is a Honda and the back is a TT.

It is a shame that the once great and innovative US car industry is completely floundering atm.

Ford make more money in Europe than they do in the US, and only once they dissociated themselves from the US parent. All of them need to do something about their image and designs.

Because, you know, German cars NEVER end up in the shop. I'm a GM man personally and while they were **** back in the 80s and early 90s, there newer stuff has been VERY reliable in the last decade plus. All this Japanese competition has forced them to improve and they have. The American public just doesn't know it yet.
