Hey guys, I had a question. My setup is vista with dual core, and my vid card is EVGA geforce 7900GS. Pretty nice vid card but I'm no gamer. I wanted to make my computer blu-ray ready and I posted on here before but i had another idea that maybe i didn't consider earlier. My monitor is non-hdcp/non-hdmi but HD viewsonic X series VX2255wmb.
Now...I'm wondering...if I buy a blu ray PC drive of some sort and a new vid card (cheapest one i can get) that has an HDMI port...could I watch blu ray quality on my monitor if i buy an HDMI-DVI connector? I haven't got much money so I'm trying to do the best I can but I don't want to watch jeopardized quality as i'm sure you guys can understand. Any help or other suggestions please??? Thanks a lot! Oh shoot and also..if i have an nvidia card (and mobo) ...would it like it if i put another ATI card in there? Last edited by sholmes555; 12-02-2007 at 12:16 AM. |
