We are finally getting a remastered Goodfellas so the odds are good that they would do the same here. Of course I just watched my Batman 25th Anniversary Edition that is the same old disc that defaults to dolby digital so...
Whenever this 20th Anniversary Edition is release, I hope Warner Brothers will fix or remaster the audio on this re-release because, there was something definitely wrong with the audio on the first blu-ray. The volume was variable, inconsistent and way too low. The listener could barely hear the dialogue at normal volume. I had to turned the master volume up a few decibels higher, to actually hear what the actors were saying!

He needs to change this because, it's a problem trying to hear the dialogue in his movies, at normal volume.
Given that 20th anniversaries for Goodfellas and Unforgiven were not deemed important enough for new remasters, I wouldn't hold my breath for this one. I actually think the existing disc is fine. But fingers crossed nonetheless.

Heat is easily the worst one of the bunch though. The low dialog is ridiculously difficult to hear. I'd be willing to double dip if they fixed that.
I just bought the BD on Saturday and I have to say I know people love this film but some of this film has some serious casting / chemistry issues bug time. Amy Brennnan is great in most films / tv but I think she and De Niro has no chemistry and that storyline bored me. I love Ashley Judd but a few of her scenes should have been re shot sometimes I felt like her acting wasn't strong enough esp when she and De Niro had words. otherise it is good but not Thief great IMO.
I would kill for the original cut. One of the two deleted lines of dialogue is my favorite line in the film, sadly.

Kind of thought that line fit her character though. I guess over the years Mann must've changed his mind, but I always thought that was just the way she talked being I would assumed someone who liked to use big words to sound smarter.
