Disney Iron Man 1 & 2 (2008/2010) / The Incredible Hulk (2008) Never in 3D

Has anyone heard of this Iron Man 3D release?

I'm really close to making an order for Noah 3D and possibly Need For Speed 3D and happened to see this while searching for any other Blu-ray 3D releases.

Note: Didn't see anything regarding Iron Man 2 in 3D

Hmm, very interesting. The image doesn't show or say anything about 3D. I would be skeptical of this. Let us know if you order

I'm very skeptical as well...kind of an expensive mistake should it be some weird "3-Disc" version.

The release date of 2014-12-09 is intriguing though.

There was an incident last year when yesasia put "The Incredibles" up for pre-order in 3D, and it turned out to be a mistake/fake. I wouldn't count on this being real, to be honest as it seems yesasia might get/upload a lot of false information.

I would step with caution. I did a quick search and couldn't find a thing on Iron Man being converted to 3D. I found a article that mentioned that there was a possibility because a company did a few minutes of Iron Man 2 and Marvel really liked what they saw. I would find it hard to believe that this title would hit 3D BD and there would be no mention of it anywhere on the web. Plus you have major 3D junkies on this site and I'm sure someone would have mentioned it by now if it was in fact true.

Thanks for the additional cautions. Until they post a picture I think I'll hold off.

Definitely seems fishy......

It wasn't even filmed with 3D in mind...
and I haven't seen anything about post- doing so either

I wonder if this "3D" release is actually the SteelBook release that is mention here...

They both were supposed to be released in Dec 2014, so this is probably it.

"Incredibles" did get a 3D conversion (as did "Ratatouille"). How it is going to be released, we don't know. Only thing we can safely assume is that "Incredibles 3D" will not be released on disc in the U.S.

This was before it was announced in late spring (I believe). It was up for preorder at YesAsia for a release in March and it turned out to be just a reissue of the existing release.

One of the new Chinese discs being released has a Lenticular slipcover.

I think that's the "3D" they're talking about.

Agreed (see my post above). FWIW, it looks like the SteelBook with the lenticular slipcover was a bust since it was upside down.

Actually, with Ratatouille 3D being Region B-locked in the only two countries that got it (the UK & France) -- AFAIK the only new region-locked Disney BD3D since they abandoned it on non-Marvel titles here (the UK version of Need for Speed is a different distributor) -- there's still a decent chance that Pixar will insist on a U.S. BD3D release for both Ratatouille & The Incredibles. The fact that Ratatouille was region-locked when Frozen, Maleficent and even Planes: Fire & Rescue weren't suggests Disney still has plans for it on U.S. BD3D someday; it's the only new Pixar BD3D since mainstream Disney abandoned it here.

Sorry of topic a little but......I'm looking to purchase the same two movies, are you purchasing them from playasia.com? I think they are both the Hong Kong versions, do you know if these are single disc 3d Bluray's or can they play in 2d as we'll?

It's most probably a mistake. And it's also most probably just Iron Man 3 3D BD alone. Without the 2D Disc.

Default Iron Man 1 & 2 and The Incredible Hulk

Does anyone know if these 3 films will be converted to 3D home release any time soon? They're the only Marvel Cinematic Universe films to not have a 3D option!

I just don't know whether to hold off buying the 2D Blu-Rays incase 3D is on the way!

Thank you!

6 years ago there was a rumor about it, but nothing generated since from what I can imagine. The chances are slim IMO. I wouldn't mind being wrong about it.
