Does anyone know how the UK release compares to the US release in terms of AV quality?

I see they both contain both cuts of the film.

Thanks

They both have the same DNR'd PQ, the EiV is a port.

If you want the best PQ, get the German release, BUT it is just the Theatrical Cut.

As mentioned, the UK is the same as the US release.

The TC is inferior, but the German release does provide the best PQ.

Am I blind? Don't see two cuts mentioned or two run times. Could put the disc on the player and find out myself, is it a menu option to switch TC to DC?

First paragraph. Unless you meant something else.

Can someone who has the UK release please go to time stamp 1:26:34 ish. (Director's cut). It's is when William Hurt is breaking the wall with the pipe and tell me if there is a digital fault on the picture. It happens when the camera is on Willaim Hurt. I want to know if it's just my disc playing up. It goes pixelated for just a second. Looks like a digital fault. You may even need to pause and go frame by frame as it's a blink and youll miss it moment. But I love this film so it bugs me now I've seen it.

Just took a look. My copy is perfectly fine during that scene.

It's an absolute doozy of a glitch, different on two consecutive frames, so sadly noticeable:

I think you need to look again. Someone else just checked theirs and they have the same glitch which suggests its inherent to the transfer. Which means it will 100% be in every copy. It's on the Director's cut only
