Default Amazon order (Transformers)

Before the Paramount debacle I ordered Transformers along with Close Encounters Of The Third Kind and a number of other BDs from amazon.co.uk. I just got an email to let me know they have shipped today. I wonder what the hell they have shipped for the Transformers? lol

I'd be wary of this. Could be the HD DVD or the DVD, but either way they will have charged you for it.
But it would be interesting to see what they send.

I imported Transformers the Movie (G1 cartoon) from the UK.
Perhaps that is what they sent?

Well i did send them an email last week as they had (HDDVD) behind the description. I told them i have no interest in the HD-DVD version and they sent me an email apologising for the mix up and confirmed that i had ordered the BD version. He never indicated that that it had been cancelled. I am curious to find out what exactly have they shipped. Maybe it is the animated version but i had not ordered that either

Will the animated Transformers play on all machines or just on UK machines? I'd buy it if it did.

Order them through sendit.com if you're in North America and you'll save over $10 per title on shipping.

Looking at the Blu-Ray cover for Transformers, the Movie... I see it is actually the Transformers animated movie from several years ago... Look at the directors name... It's not Michael Bay!!!

I know that. I ordered the Michael Bay movie when it was first announced by Paramount on both BD and HD-DVD. I never ordered the animated movie.

Well they have sent the HD-DVD version. Going to email them to take it back. I wouldn't mind but i emailed them that i had no interest in HD-DVD and was angry that they were promoting HD-DVD to a BD collector.

Oh well at least Close Encounters arrived with it

Well you are sure to get a full refund. Too bad it is not on Blu. yet

Hate it when you get something you don't want or cannot use. I ordered POP GEAR from an amazon.com marketplace outlet--and I asked them if it was region coded for the U.S. They didn't know and couldn't tell me. Unfortunately, when it arrived I could see that it was not region coded for the U.S. So, I can't watch it. Sigh. You could prolly watch it in Ireland.

I have just received my copy of Close Encounters of the Third Kind on Blu Ray and to my surprise Transformers on HD-DVD. My order was for the Blu Ray version of the Michael Bay movie. I specifically wrote to amazon.co.uk customer care about 2 or 3 weeks ago to make sure they ship the Blu Ray version.

I do not want any HD-DVDs so what am i to do with this and when can i expect to receive my Blu Ray version.
