I did not even notice that but you are right...how in all things holy do you mess that up. That alone may make me skip these and just get the trilogy.

I don't get why studios do this. I am guessing they just wanted to have a uniform logo, but still...

All three steels are using the US release artwork.

You're probably right. It's still a poor show. They've redone the Lost World one as well and made it look cheaper but it's not as bad as outright changing the main image for this one.

I've never looked into Zavvi products before. Mainly because for me, once you start going down a road of collecting, it's hard to turn back! How do Americans get movies from Zavvi? Group buys? I normally would never look into this, no matter how awesome it looks, but JP is my favorite series.

Are they releasing the first 2 in steel as well? Pics?

Zavvi ships to the US. So it's super easy to order and burn a hole in your wallet.

My wallet:

"Well that's just about the worst news I've ever heard."

I wasn't aware of that! How is the whole Zavvi experience? Prices, payment, shipping, products, customer service? I have never dealt with them obviously, and don't know anyone who has. I'm thinking about it. I def wish I knew if the other films were getting steels.

Well I just looked at the site again and it said it's "SOLD OUT". I guess that just made things a little easier!

That is SOP for Zavvi. It is too hard for them to make up a "not available yet" button so until it goes live we get "sold out."

It varies from person to person but in general I would say they aren't too bad. Shipping to philly normally takes about 7-10 days and out of about 100 steels I have only had one come damaged (knock on wood).

Their CS has a bit to be desired from so when possible order from http://www.amazon.co.uk since they are much easier to deal with in regards to damaged/lost shipments.

Yeah, this one hasn't gone up for sale yet. They put "SOLD OUT" for some unknowable reason even though it hasn't been offered for sale yet.

As for your other questions, pricing is okay. Some steelbooks can be pretty pricey, but then months later be bargain bin prices. But it's hard to tell which ones, and certain ones (Disney, Marvel, in particular) tend to sell out right away within a day of it being available for pre-order. Occasionally, they'll have more available right before or around the time the movie is actually released.

I've ordered a lot from them. Easily 75-100 at this point. I've gotten a couple that were damaged. I haven't had too much problems getting replacements, but I know others have.

One problem is if the item is sold out, you can't get a replacement. So some people buy two of really big releases to make sure they get at least one good one.

I just saw the pics for the other 2 and definitely made up my mind not to purchase these. Being a long time JP fan, I never understood or accepted the font changes in the JP lettering from Movies 1 & 2 to Part 3. It makes me laugh when I admit this bothers me, but it really does! Not to mention the change in logo for Part 3. Also, I'm not quite a fan of the back image for JP1. It's an animated picture from the 3D re-release. I guess there's a few things that I don't really like about these. Of course, if these were ever released in the States, I'd prolly pick em up. But for this, I'll pass. Thanks everyone for your feedback!

I have never had an issue, and I hope I don't jinx myself over this. I've ordered from them at least 20 times and my steelbooks have always arrived minty fresh. No horrific crushed boxes. No scratches. No dents. No spine slashes. No blemishes of any kind.
