Okay, I have the PS3 in my bedroom, but with my collection of titles growing I would like to get another player for my living room. Where is the cheapest place to get a player? And what player does everyone recommend? I certainly wouldn't object to another PS3 (I have a wireless internet connection and I love the fact it has built in Wi-Fi and updates easily). Thanks for the advice!

There's the Sony S300, which is selling for $399.99 everywhere ($349.99 if your lucky); however the sound capabilities ae not as good as the Panasonic mentioned above, and it also takes longer load; price wise I think it's the best right now though.

It really depends on what type of receiver you have as to the player. If your receiver is not 1.3 to receive the bitstreamed audio then the PS3 is better for you. If it is a 1.3 receiver then the panasonic 30 is one of the best deals out there.
So it really depends on your other equiptment. |

I have both PS3 and Sony S301. I kind of like PS3 better. It loads much, I mean much faster than my S301. Spider man 3 took awhile to load in the player but 3 times faster on PS3, wireless built-in is a big plus when you want to update firmware.
I think the price is gonna be the same everywhere unless they have a special sale like Black Friday. Seems like everywhere I look they're $499 for 80gb and $399 for 40gb unless you buy used from Amazon which I don't like to buy used when it comes to electronics. Who knows what the previous owner did to it. |

You just missed the s301 last weekend at BJ's with $100 instant rebate.
Final Price: $279 However I think one of our insiders just hinted at some possible BR promotions at some major retailers next week. Not sure if this will include players or not, so keep your eyes peeled! |
