Default HD-DVD missing the boat in Australia

The following link features an interesting article from the Sydney Morning Herald, one of Australia's largest newspapers, about how HD-DVD is missing its chance at gaining any foot hold in Australia:

With all of these stories from around the world it really amazes me that some studios still support HD-DVD when they are almost non existant in most countries outside the USA.

Awesome - software sales are 5.6:1

HD DVD is getting its ass whooped everywhere, even in the US for that matter.

It's going to just get uglier and uglier for HD DVD throughout 2008.

Great read! It's always a good thing to see Blu-Ray dominating all over the world.

Australia has hardly even sold any players at all from both formats, Kinda wierd that they jumped to BD already.

the main reason blu is leading is because of the playstation 3.

there is little to no ads for HD DVD here and the title range is very poor we are only just getting movies now that have been out since early last year.

that and not many retailers stock HD DVD films.

Yeh no ads at all over here. PS3 price drop was a bigger though. Heck I jumped onto as soon as I could.
