This looks very cool. I see nothing about a US blu-ray or theatrical release yet. It's been at about 400 theaters in the UK. Is that considered a limited release? Has anyone seen it?

100% day one purchase for me.

Best film of the year so far for me, also possibly the best script I've read/seen in years.

Same. One I'm eager to rewatch but one I wouldn't watch a whole lot.

I love films like this, seen it twice in the cinema and it's a film I can see myself watching quite a few more. 2nd favourite film of the year so far.

Just read the summary. Very interesting movie. That plus the actress that plays Ava looks like all types of cute.

Enjoyed this very much, really creepy and unsettling.

My only complaint is that it didn't end at a very specific moment that I thought it would
[Show spoiler]when Ava entered the lift to leave the house, i expected it to end on the black screen as the lift doors closed

If i had one complaint of the film it's that
[Show spoiler]it didn't end at that moment. It would have been, in my own personal humble opinion, far more effective to leave it open-ended.

Scalpers up to their old tricks again. A pity Zaavi restrict the numbers so greatly.

Yeah I was certain that it was going to end there. Would have been awesome.

I do partially agree,
[Show spoiler]I don't think it leaves the film less open ended, since the scenes of her walking through the house and the forest add very little other than her reaction to the outside world, and that Gleeson will never escape but I did find the scene at the crossing really eerie.

I could not resist the steelbook despite everything and ordered a copy. A couple still available here on ebay:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ex-Machina...item20f7ce18b6

I never even knew Zaavi were releasing this until yesterday.

Do not buy steelbooks from eBay 3 months in advance. U will have no buyer protection after 45 days so basically if the steelbook doesn't turn up or the seller decides not to send you the steelbook there is nothing you can do

Its against eBay rules for sellers to list that early before release anyways.

It is a risk DJJez and I will go with the consequences. I assume the seller has already pre-ordered her copies to sell when she gets them. She has a pretty decent record on the site so I will put my faith in human nature.

Also waiting for Perfume:The Story Of A Murderer steelbook from YesAsia although it was supposed to be an exclusive for another company.
