Great news and - after years of cornflake packet quality artwork - a great sleeve too. That artist is a keeper.

Will definitely be buying this instead of the Twilight Time version in the USA, hope this is the first of more Hammer flicks.

Would be great to see a load of hammer releases but i worry this isn't possible...this is from the mgm deal...perhaps michael b can elaborate for us as warners and maybe studio canal are out of the equation. Still super excited for this release which will be superior to the twilight time release and no doubt half the price (though will still sell out in under an hour)

Edit- artwork looks to be graham humphries style and is fantastic

Oh typical. I bit and ordered the Australian BD (I have reviewed the BD on this site). The extras for this Arrow disc are better. Will be interesting to see if its the same master that is used for the transfer. I presume they both originate from MGM. Great film. One of my favourite Hammer films.

I found a forum post with an old list of Hammer flicks and who put out the DVDs that should give people a hint (it's about halfway down the page):

Basically, MGM only put out The Quatermass Xperiment, The Vampire Lovers, Countess Dracula and Hound of the Baskervilles on DVD, all of which are already out on bluray besides Hound. :P

MichaelB Is this going to have a pre-made master like most MGM/20th Century Fox titles or is Arrow creating a brand new master for this release especially?

From what I've read elsewhere it's the same MGM sourced master. Arrow's encoding will no doubt be superior though.

I love me my Holmes, so pre-ordered, although I dearly hope the price falls on the lower side of 15GBP by shipping
Also put in a blind-buy for Frankenheimer's Manchurian Candidiate, which sounds very intriguing.
