( is keeping Search Results from showing up - Blu-ray Forum

Looks like special characters are messing up the Search function again (I say again because I thought it was fixed at one point in time). I'm trying to search for Threads under the Blu-ray SteelBook forum with 'Blufans' in the title, and it's only showing results where 'Blufans' is by itself in the title. Threads that have an open parenthesis in front of Blufans, ie (Blufans, don't show up.

Threads that show under the Search for 'Blufans':
Face Off Blufans Exclusive Blu-ray steelbook [China]
Monsters University (3D/2D Blu-ray SteelBook) Blufans Exclusive No.8 [China]

Threads that don't show under the Search for 'Blufans':
Captain America 3D/2D Steelbook (Blufans Exclusive #20) (WEA) (China)
Iron Man Steelbook (Blufans Exclusive) (WEA) (China)

I think the single ~~parenthesis~~ apostrophe impacts searches as well.

This is still an issue

Can't search for Mondo steelbooks because most titles are like (Mondo) and the '(' before Mondo is keeping them from showing up

Bump, this is probably something that should be checked into as the "(" and ")" are part of the steelbook threads. Would really help in the searching and make me look less like an idiot when I post a new thread for a 3 month old thread.

Why is this still an issue? You would think a bug like this would be a simple coding thing to solve. You can't go to the Steelbook forum and look up 'Walking Dead Target' under search because most thread titles have (Target Exclusive). The ( is making 0 threads show up in the search results

Yep, the search function could use an upgrade. Words in () and '' - which are common in thread titles in the Movies subforum - don't show up in the results.
