Cool HUGE diy backlit posters

so i went ahead and decided that i needed to have some fun with a project ive always wanted to do and thought... hey! ive got TONS of 4x6 movie posters... why not light one up!??! so i did!!

so basically what i did was i went to walmart... bought a 48 ft white led rope light... shuffeled over to menards got me some 1x4's about 3 of them... some 3"x 3/4 inch corner brackets for mounting... some cable staples 3/4 inch... and went home... made a 4x6 frame then preceded to attach the poster to the frame via staples... ( that was a pain in the butt for sure!) it was a 2 person job 100% if not more since that would have made it easier! found where i wanted to put it taped off the out side... mesured about 13 "loops" back and fourth across the 4 foot width back and fourth... attached the rope light... then added the brackets at the top and bottom to help keep it on the wall!!! im not done yet... im waiting for the "outer frame" to dry so i can frame it up better and stop the light leakage you see in the pic! i plan on doing the pacific rim one next to it this week as well!!
