Definitely one I've been looking forward to seeing. This was Korea's choice for Best Foreign film consideration at the Oscars. Though some of their choices in the past have left me scratching my head. From the co-writer of Memories of Murder, so I hope it's good.

Also, co-written and produced by director Bong Joon Ho, who's a guy who pretty knows what he's doing.

Really, really enjoyed this film. One of the best I've seen from S. Korea in some time.

You're probably right. I'm just worried because, to me, KD Media is THE top-notch Korean distributor. They've been the most consistent since the beginning.
Hate to see their track record spoiled.

since we're fairly vague on this, and since i'm still waiting on my blu-ray of this to arrive (and it's suddenly 'out of stock' at kimchidvd), i've emailed them to ask what the situation is and what i have to do. not have an imported disc be recalled before, so we shall see how this goes.

reply from kimchi regarding this; seems the error on the BD is known of. english is a bit broken, but they are apparently waiting on the publisher to do an official announcement for any recall, and details will be on the kimchi site if / when issued.

What's the actual problem? 'Broken English' to me sounds like bad subtitles and if true the chances of a recall are pretty slim (there are plenty of poor releases with crap Eng subs out there).

Mine arrived yesterday and I will be watching tonight and will keep an eye out for any problems but it would be handy to know going in so I know what to look for.

don't know what the discs problem is, but it has been removed from sale.

broken english is the issue with kimchis replies to my emails trying to figure out what's happening, and when.
