So the german release has the better pic quality?

It might have a higher bitrate, due to the fact that it is housed on a BD50.
But for all we know it's the same one as the UK but with a lesser audio codec and they use the rest for 75 minutes of SD bonus features. Time will tell.

I've ordered the UK and German version so I will be able to compare them.

The UK audio is not really much better than the german audio. I thought it would be a big difference (DTS-HD MA vs DTS-HD HR)

@Socko: Thank you for the useful tip on the various BRD of Sleepy Hollow!

I am in the US and the Sleepy Hollow edition released here is lacking in the A/V department pretty bad.

After your post I just added the UK version to my cart to my delight since they have a lossless audio track and a AVC encode for the video!!

I love this movie so this will be a nice upgrade and my Oppo BDP 83 will have no trouble with the Region B disc from the UK...
