Just watched this movie. I had watched it years ago and didn't think much of it. I really liked it this time. Don't know what my problem was the last time I watched it.

So I was just looking and I found that in France there is a version with high def audio and an AVC transfer. I want to get it but im worried that it might have forced subtitles. Anyone know if it does?

Thanks for finding that out for us. Do you know what special features are on the French disc?

One of my friends did but it played fine on a different blu ray player. There were a quite a few early Lionsgate releases that suffered disc rot that caused them to stop working. 3 or 4 of my Lionsgate movies went bad but the replacements still work and I've had them for a while now.

Wow, wasn't aware of that. Thanks for letting me know.

How do you go about getting replacements? Can't seem to even find a proper customer service e-mail on Lionsgate's website.

No Prob. It's not just Lionsgate either unfortunately. Paramount is the other major one. I had to rebuy my bad copies because I was an idiot and didn't think to look to see if there was any kind of a replacement program for them. I'm not sure if there is a replacement program for them though. There was a thread on this not too long ago about blu rays that have gone bad for people and it was crazy of the amount. It was depressing. I'd say total probably 7 of my titles have gone bad and had to buy new ones except for my initial copy for the movie Speed. Fox has a replacement program for that in case you own it and it ever goes bad. Mine went bad years ago and the replacement still works just fine. There were Criterion titles that have reportedly gone bad as well that were released between 2010-2011. They offer replacements for those as well now too.

On the plus side though I can tell you that I own almost 800 titles and I watch every title at least once a year and I'd say 97-98% of them are just fine still.

There is no replacement program. Lionsgate has refused to acknowledge the issue for years. Thankfully the issue is limited to releases from 2006 and 2007 with the vast majority of titles falling in the initial batch Lionsgate released.

My copy is bronzed and dead. Will not work on my Blu ray player or my ps4 or ps3.

Just watched Stuckman's review and I can't believe we still only have the crappy 2006 Blu-ray? I see a couple of foreign releases but they are no better looking.

This film has long had a cult following so you'd think we'd have something better.
