I wasn't the first. You were responding to someone else when you asked for proof. I did post that photo, though.

And I just bought the MGM Blu. Maybe it will be worth an upgrade. Great movie. Also maybe I just can't see it but it appears she deleted the post.

It's not a upgrade! If you've just bought the previous release, you might as well keep it for awhile and get your moneys worth out it at least.

Yeah I don't think it will be but they could do a 4k scan or something couldn't they?

If no details are published yet, how can you say for sure that it will be or won't be an upgrade ?

Criterion must have felt they could improve/add to the current release, so it likely will feature a new spiffy transfer and more extras than the MGM Blu-ray.

Yeah, I just picked up the MGM release really cheap via Fox Connect. I am holding on to that disc as well as The Black Stallion until the Criterion version is reviewed and in my hands.

Criterion probably asked her to delete the posts so they will all probably vanish within the next few hours or minutes

If it's not going to be a native 4K release (which I doubt very much it will), then it's not an upgrade. It's considered a re-release with possibly an improved video quality from Criterion!

In reply to this, I did forget that you haven't understood anything about 4K yet.

Move along.

So it might be better but it definitely won't be an upgrade.

Okay.

No, I won't move along, and at least I don't ignorantly crap on threads.

I won't be adding you to ignore, as your bumbling dribbling rants are entertaining though.

Hard to see how this could top the Arrow release (which I picked up from Amazon for a fiver).
