Oru Vadakkan Selfie (English: A Northern Selfie) is a 2015 Malayalam comedy thriller cum road movie directed by G. Prajith and scripted by Vineeth Sreenivasan. The film features Nivin Pauly, Manjima Mohan, Aju Varghese, Neeraj Madhav and Vineeth Sreenivasan. Music is composed by Shaan Rahman. The film released on March 27 and received highly positive reviews from critics as well as audience. And became the first commercial successful Malayalam film of 2015.


BD/DVD Expected as July Release from Manorama Music.Blu-ray will be authored by Irshad M hassan of Live Studios

Both films have their plots taking place in North Kerala, and the similiarities end there...

While "Veeragadha" still remains an indisputable classic worthy of a Criterion-grade BD release, "Selfie" too is a damn fine film on its own with solid performances, a tight script (which wanders a bit before the end), great visuals and music, and some of the best moments of situational comedy in recent memory... Seen this in cinema already; gotta buy the BD now...

LOL Movies like Njan Steve Lopez dont even get DVD treatment and these half baked ones are getting BD's. I should say it is a MAD MAD world

Well, on the positive side, at least the half-baked films are being considered for BD releases, compared to what they used to release during the early phase of malayalam BDs (Karyasthan, 2 Harihar Nagar, Christian Bros, Pokkiri Raja... etc.).
