speaking of boxes, is there a PS3 system box yet?

I think IGN had one posted a day or two ago but they may have just been a game box. Actually now that I check the link its just a game box. So my guess is we should be seeing the console box sometime in the next month or so.

Omigod, when will it end? We don't need numerous threads on what the game art will look like, what the console art will look like, and now you sir have managed to find a picture of some guys actually packaging up the PS3. I gotta admit I find this quite funny but I don't think we need a new thread. Thus, I'm merging this with an existing thread. It's all good though. I'm not a gamer but it's obvious those of you who are really get excited about these new toys.

PS: Looking at that pic, that's not the PS3 packaging at all. You could fit several of them in one box. And what's more they have the bare consoles in their hands, where's the package they go inside of?

Looks like an oversized PSP box to me. That's not a good sign for me. My PSP is collecting dust cause i don't like any of the games out for it. I used it for watching vids i load up on a memory stick. But i stoped even that. I know i don't use my dvd player a whole lot either. Maybe it's not worth it after all..... Just kidding. PS3 is not PSP. i was impulsive on PSP.

Why not sell it or trade it in before yet another price drop happens and its value is worth squat? Better hurry!

^^ If you already own a PS2 that's backward compatible to PS1 anyways...those are nice games, but it loses a lot of its luster pretty fast, especially given the aforementioned price tag.

Actually, if you can recollect the events of last week, those GameSpot pix are from the TGS. Notice the Playstation logo in lights above. Then also note that the worker is lifting the PS3 to a shelf underneath the widescreen TVs. Those TVs had the 1080p sticker on the bottom right corner. If you see lots of PS3 pix of TGS, you'll notice that.

I guess the brown boxes the PS3 was lifted from was to avoid the truckdrivers from knowing what their load is or something.

As far as packaging goes, it looks great, another view shows a highly visible blu-ray logo on it.
