Been told by more than one reviewer to see this in 2D if possible. A shame they don't ever have a 2D IMAX option for a 3D IMAX film, but I guess this is a film that will punch you in the gut no matter the size of the screen.
I watched the first two Mad Max films in anticipation for this (for the first time). I enjoyed the concept and think the second built on the first, but this looks like another ballpark completely. Looking forward to seeing it over the next few days (as well as Tomorrowland). |

I watched it last night. I left with that yucky morning taste in my mouth. My jaw must have been on the floor for the whole movie. It was stunning.
Never mind the Blu-Ray, just go and see it on the biggest screen you can find. |

It's happening a lot now a days with big films getting such horrible BD/DVD covers, Kinsgmen and Chappie being some recent examples of that spring to mind. That being said i hope this gets a steelbook. |

I think Miller has gone on record saying he prefers the 2D versions, which was also the version that was pre-screened to critics.

If you actually watch the Cannes panel, he doesn't state a preference for either. He obviously had to oversee the 3D conversion, so put a lot of effort into it - much like Guillermo del Toro's stance when converting Pacific Rim. Whether you see it in 3D or not, it's up to you and your stance on the format. I personally would like to see it on as big a screen as possible, which locally is an IMAX screen, but they are only showing it in 3D IMAX - so when I do see it, I will see it in 2D. More than a few reviewers I trust recommend seeing it in 2D over 3D.
