Be warned as well,

I have placed a pre-order, but the full charge is pending on my credit card. Hopefully it drops off (FAQ says no charge until despatch) but I've emailed just in case to check.

Same here but I used paypal and have had to cancel my pre-order as I will be overdrawn once other orders go out next week.

Just received contact back from HMV:

(For card pre-orders, not Paypal)

So the whole charge will eventually drop off the card, and then be taken on despatch. More a word of warning for people using debit cards that it will hold the full funds for a few days, rather than a £1 pre-auth.

the HMV site is being really crap.
