It's a close encounter of the hilarious kind when five of the universe's coolest aliens crash-land on planet Earth! Ha. Mill Creek has better quality than you think. The Lady in Shanghai released by Mill Creek has better picture quality than the recent TCM release. Sure, they have a dozen or so titles with lossy audio but overall, they still are a better "bargain" label.

The few Mill Creek releases I have are fine, especially for the price.

Their Sony releases are fine, but the Disney stuff on the other hand...not so good. This one is with Disney, so keep your expectations low.

Really? They get the transfers from the studios themselves, in this case Buena Vista/Disney.

I really enjoyed this movie when I was a teen back then... the one alien sounded like Jack Nicholson a bit. I'll have to watch the trailer and see if it still holds any interest.

Mill Creek . I haven't seen it for so long.

Now I really would like to see them finally release My Science Project in good widescreen instead the DVD windowboxed widescreen.

The out of print Disney DVD doesn't have subtitles... doesn't bold well for the Mill Creek release. The old Disney DVD also was movie-only.

Nice. I've been pleased with Mill Creek so far. I think Krull, Legend of Billie Jean, and Heartbreak Hotel look pretty damn good. Especially, for such cheap blus.

Yeah, but most likely the studio didn't give a crap about it - hence why it's going to Mill Creek. Not that I'm complaining. If it went to Kino or Shout the quality wouldn't be better, though with the latter at least the extras might be better. That's about it. This will be barebones disc on 25GB disc with zero or DVD ported extras. But if the price is right, I'm cool with that.

It's funny, I keep getting this movie mixed up with Martians Go Home, which I also would love to get on blu-ray. Now that I think about it, I hardly even remember this movie.

I'll still get it day 1 since I'm sure I liked it in the past.

I remember seeing this in the theater as a child. Hopefully the newer wave of discs from MC will be of higher quality than the review of Fire Birds suggests... ridiculous if they're only including 192kbps soundtracks.
