Wow, they must have just changed it. I saw a Steelbook for the movie a while back, but it had the old art on it. This one is nicer, but I'm not sure I care about that second gold banner or whatever going across the bottom. I know it's supposed to be like a treasure chest, but I'm not sure if that works combined with the image they're using. They should have just did a complete treasure chest design if they wanted that.

Here's the artwork they originally had on Amazon.fr. It's still on fnac.com currently

edit: and FNAC just changed their artwork lol

Kind of silly to print anything after the Struzan steelbook, in my opinion.

Agreed. Anything with Struzan or John Alvin is more or less the final word on movie art as far as I'm concerned. Although that's not to say they shouldn't try.

This is rather nice. It's not amazing, but it certainly has presence and flair worthy of the classic film enclosed.

I doubt that I will be purchasing it though. I have too many other "OMG! I HAVE TO HAVE THAT!" steelbooks on my list currently to worry about any "Well... isn't that quaint" steelbooks. I'll be content with my UK steelbook copy.

You're missing the fact that that's old artwork that was replaced by the one in the OP, as I stated in that post.

Oh, OK. I thought there were different editions for DE and FR.

Don't like the new artwork...too busy. The original artwork would have been nice if they used all English text. Then again, there's always the Zavvi version.

Japan has one with the old artwork, and English text.

Crappy finish though. Doesn't matter, neither compare to the Zavvi steel.

[Show spoiler]
I think he meant a wave of Struzan steels in the vein of the Mondo or that pop-art line
