Why is that SONY & the BDA are perceived as "evil" When we don't have this crap coming out on are format of choice?

R. Kelly Live - The Light It Up Tour: How many times has he been accused of committing hanse acts with children.

The Pianist: I lost all respect for the Academy Awards when they gave Roman Polanski the award for best Director! In case you don't know he wasn't there to get it himself because the state of California frowns on giving 13 year olds ruffies to have sex with them!

And for asking these kind of questions I was banned from HDD!

You should not have been banned, but I hope you are not of the opinion that material that does not violate any laws should not be available on Blu Ray.

I think the Academy should base their decisions on the actual subject matter. I found the movie to be very good and no matter what the director did in his private life you can not deny he did a phenomenal job directing.

The Award is called "Best Director," not "Best Director who didn't do anything we are morally appalled with."

No I don't believe in censorship. Now with that said I would start a thread on either one of these guys if there titles were to become available to educate people we should boycott not censor.

I would agree with you IF he turned himself in served his time and was in consoling. BUT he is hiding in Europe to avoid prosecution!

This forum is to discuss movies on Blu-ray, not to be a soap-box for you to jump on and preach about morality. If you would like to do that, I think there are much better and more suitable websites for you to do so.

No my answer reeks of not putting money in the hands of pedophiles or people who go out of their way to aid pedophiles hands!

I thought the movie was great! although I do not think this is a place to discuss morality or what the director does in his private life, but to discuss about films.

I'm not much into censorship, but if any group needs to be censored it's pedophiles, of which both are members.

Not to defend Polanski on this, but he did go to court, he worked it out to a plea bargain, then before he was to meet to finalize it in court (several months after the initial arrest and plea bargain) he was tipped of that the judge was getting his hand forced to hand a heavier sentence to him.

Even the victim states that his work should be judged on its own merits and not on previous incidents.
