Rebecca Ferguson was born October 19, 1983 in Sweden. She currently stars in Christopher McQuarrie's Rouge Nation as Ilsa Faust with Tom Cruise, she also has starred in the TV mini-series called the White Queen.

Swedish, huh? For some reason, I thought she was a Brit; probably the accent in "Rogue Nation".

From IMDB: Could be because her mother, Rosemary, is British, and moved to Sweden from England at the age of 25.

She's fantastic in Rogue Nation and i really fell for her character. I will be interested to see if that carries over to other roles she does or whether it was just her playing that character that got me.

As a Swede, it's really easy to tell she's Swedish based on the accent. Really impressed with her and her character in Rogue Nation. She had a really good presence and felt like she could hold her own. Very well done.

Well, I'm not very good at telling the difference between accents. To my ears, everything from Europe sounds mostly the same, except for bolder ones like Scotland or Ireland.

A bit off-topic, but take a look at this interview with actor Alexander Skarsgård. At 1.10 they start talking about him being from Sweden, and he takes the Swedish accent to the extreme there as a joke. Very funny, but also very telling.
