I was rummaging through the closet in my HT room when I stumbled on 5 of my old PS Audio Noise Harvesters from years ago. It crossed my mind to simply throw them out, but seeing as I paid a decent amount of money for them initially, I figured I might as well give them another spin. It's funny what a different perspective provides you with so rather than simply trying them in the same spots I previously had them, I moved them around my HT as well elsewhere in the house. While some outlets produced not a single solitary blink (to my surprise on the outlet where my beer fridge is plugged in in the garage...I thought that would be a MAJOR culprit of line noise), others had the blue lights going off like I was in a techno club. I installed them in the following outlets: where my wifi router is located (it went off like a strobe light immediately), where my laptop, additional monitor and other work/computer related goodies reside (blinks consistently) and lastly in one of the spare outlets in my dedicated HT room which has various power conditioners plugged in throughout the room (only blinks intermittently).
So, for those of you that own them, where do you have yours placed? Last edited by RageATL; 08-06-2015 at 07:29 PM. |
