Salma Hayek was born in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico on September 2, 1966. Her first starring role in an American production was in Robert Rodrigez's second feature film Desperado starring Antonio Banderas, Cheech Marin and Steve Buscemi.

I remember when Desperado came out when I was in high school. (I just realized, almost a full 20 years ago! August 25, 1995!

) She made quite the impression and was pretty much the envy of every guy in 11th grade.

A stunning woman who's only gotten more stunning with age, but Desperado-era Salma will always be the most special to me.

She's definitely beautiful (curvy women rock), but I haven't seen most of her work. All that comes to mind is "Wild Wild West", "Fools Rush In", and "Dogma". I only saw the last two once each, several years ago.
