Question Where are Modern Family season 5- last season

I just picked up seasons 1-5 but for some reason the seasons after that are only on DVD. What the heck is going on. This is the funniest tv show since Seinfeld. In some cases it equals or surpasses it. I'm just trying to figure if I want to buy the other seasons 6-8 ( or whatever 2014 season was) on Amazon instant video. I'd rather not because I can buy the seasons on eBay for cheaper, take or lend the seasons to others and lastly, if one day I want to sell the series, I can do so. Anyone know why the currently most funny TV show has no blu-Ray support for more recent seasons- not even a preorder up?

Modern Family has only had 6 seasons. Fox has really cut back on the number of shows they release on Blu-ray, and the 6th season is only getting a DVD release. Amazon seems to be having an issue with Fox and not making many Fox titles available for pre-order, but the DVD of season 6 will be released on September 22.

So from seasons 5 on its DVD only? I might have to quit buying M.F. and wait for the series to end and wait for a Blu-ray set of the complete series.

Fox is probably THE WORST studio regarding TV on blu-ray... they´ve not only abandoned MF but also TONS of others like Bones, Glee, Americans, White Collar, Wilfred, Burn Notice, Lie to me, Louie, It´s always sunny in Philadelphia + many many more..
I´m still refusing to buy any of the DVD only sets, some series that weren´t really that imporatnt to me I´ve just abandoned completely and sold my sets.. for others I might pick up the DVD sets to watch them if they´re like 2$ used..

Thanks, well I have enjoyed Modern Family up thru the fourth season. I have not once watched an episode on TV, so if I want to see more I will be forced to pay for a used set of DVDs.

That is too bad about Fox, I would have to assume several of you guys have called them up and complained? I'd like to hear their explanation.

Its a good show, but it is not that great. I would put it in the same level as older 90's family sitcoms

USA did attempt to get Burn Notice to Blu, but the quality was crap. It's why I own Burn Notice, Psych, and White Collar on DVD. I would give to have an official DVD release of Almost Human, provided they fix the manufactured-on-demand stuff AND invest in getting the proper order of the episodes right.

Season 5 would be welcome on Blu, provided they fixed the PQ of the episodes.

The picture quality on the DVDs is barely bootleg quality. It was so bad, I had to go back and check exactly where I bought the set from, thinking I had accidentally bought a bootleg set. But, it was straight from Amazon itself, and others had the same complaints, so it was just a huge screw-up from Fox that they didn't fix.

I agree, it's very good but not anywhere near Seinfeld quality.
Though it's certainly good enough for a decent Blu-ray transfer!

Again I have only seen Seasons 1-4 and I have never seen a single episode on TV so I think I will wait for the series to end before I see any more M.F..
Meanwhile I have a many other TV series and seasons to watch that I have never seen so I am in no hurry at all.
