"Futurama: Bender's Big Score was released on November 27, 2007. It has been animated in widescreen and will be released on both normal and high-definition DVD, though only the former initially."

its being mastered in high def and released on dvd at the current time there is no set date for a blu ray release.

As for the bitrate, I've just tried my Simpsons Movie Blu-ray which I received today and whichever scene I put it on the bitrate was consistently between 30-40 mbps

It's a pity some live action films aren't that high

I thought that Benders Big Score was pretty good!

I bought the DVD and I would buy it on BD if it were released!

lol what are you talking about, Bender's Big Score was awesome, the only thing negative about it was the crappy transfer on DVD (which is odd because all Simpsons and Futurama TV seasons DVDs (and Simpsons Movie blu-ray) have always the best transfers).

I remember Matt Groening saying something about the Blu-ray release of Bender's Big Score will come with the second Futurama movie (Beast of a Billion Backs), which will probably have a day and date blu release alongside the DVD.

Since this is Fox, expect DTS-HD Master Audio.

I loved this movie and can't wait for the next. It sold pretty well so can we expect the show to return?

Not exactly.

These movies that are being made will be split up and aired on TV as a new 'season'.

I too would buy a Blu release. Hopefully we get official news soon. I hope the rumor that ti will come out with the second movie ends up being true.

I personally wouldn't rebuy the 1st title in Blu, but I would like to buy the next 3 films in Blu. The 2nd movie is already listed on Amazon for a 6/24 release on DVD. I wouldn't count on them thinking the market is big enough for Blu Futurama releases.

This will only be a rental for me unless it comes out on BD. I was not overly pleased with the last one, but I can hope for the next.

Futurama is my favorite show but i think the big score was a miss, still i'd love to see the seasons on BD

Just because a DVD is listed as being "Mastered in HD" (as many are these days) doesn't mean it will be released that way.

It's a pity the master used on the Simpsons Movie has slight ringing around ever single line edge. (Look closely.) It could have been perfect, but it's not. Edge enhancement needs to die.

Fox likes to burn bitrate. But hey, why not if you have the space? (Simpsons Movie is short, with zero extras!) Check out the bitrate on 28 Days Later for a laugh.
