Question Why do most 3D blu-ray discs have a lame title menu

I LOVE a well made 3D film, both watching them at the movie theatre and also experiencing it at home, which is why I find it disappointing why 90% of the time, the main title menu of a 3D disc is just a simple static image, almost like it was just added as an after-thought.

The 2D disc gets a fancy, sleek-looking, animated menu, while the 3D disc looks like they ran of time and money to make a proper menu, then gave a high school intern 15 minutes to photoshop something together.

There are exceptions, of course - Frozen has a very nice 3D menu, but they're very few and far in between.

The least they could do is to take the same menu on the 2D disc and run it through some automatic 3D conversion software. But apparently, they're too cheap to even do that.

Simple static menus all the way for me. I hate waiting for fancy animated menus like it was so popular at a time for DVDs. Just give me all the options as fast as possible. Most of the menus for 3D disc have the text for the options slightly elevated - so you know your glasses are on. Fine for me.

The Disney Digital 3D Showcase Disc with the Working for Peanuts short, has a menu that comes out far into your living room.

Agreed, it has a strong 3D effect for the Showcase beginning menu! The disc was made to give an exciting first impression for 3D illusion. Even "The Nightmare Before Christmas" clip was digitally remastered for a greater full intense 3D experience for vibrance, color-saturation, & detail.
Picture comparisons of Showcase disc sample and actual Blu-ray 3D movie release.
