It was announced today that the first season of AMC’s new zombie show Fear the Walking Dead will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on Dec. 1. In addition to the show’s six episodes, the 2-disc sets will include both character bios and “A Look at the Series.”

It has also been announced that fans of the Los Angeles-set undead show will be able to buy a special edition of Fear the Walking Dead: The Complete First Season in 2016. The release date for that set will be announced shortly.

The new season of the zombie franchise’s mothership, The Walking Dead, premieres Sunday, while Fear the Walking Dead will return to AMC next year with 15 new episodes.

First episode was pretty meh which lead me not continue with the series. Not sure how good or bad it got from there.

I really liked the show but the second season will really have to impress me in order for me to buy the first season.

i like the blu-ray artwork, i'll probably buy the UK blu-ray (hoping for a nice glossy slip like eOne did for THE WALKING DEAD Season 5) and the steelbook on Amazon DE, http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0158K1COO/ they will hold me off until the Limited Edition releases

Would love to see a lenti that had this art and switched to Venice Beach artwork. I'd buy that in a heartbeat!

according to Splendid film website it is Region B, but it is hard say for sure, eOne aren't doing the blu-ray for FEAR THE WALKING DEAD

Sorry but The Walking Dead was not utilizing the "slow burn" fashion whatsoever. The Pilot was constantly moving and gripped you from beginning to end which was the big reason why so many that were not even following the comics got reeled into the show, I include myself part of that demographic. We also had really strong characters that we clicked with from the very first episode.

This spinoff did not have a great pilot, even for "slow burn" standards. I believe the Pilot is responsible to really impact the viewer to really get you hooked. I didn't feel that with FTWD which was why I didn't continue with it.
