I loved this show when it was originally broadcast...I purchased the DVD release a few years ago. Unfortunately, it didn't hold up.

Fap me sideways! I didn't ever think that this would see the light of day on Blu.

Here in the UK, it was dumped onto DVD by a wee subsidiary company of Universal's as they weren't interested in releasing it themselves.

We didn't even get season 3 on DVD in the UK. They gave up after season 2. I had to import the Australian region 4 release (also from Madman).

I've sent an email to Madman to try and find out more about this release.

I'll definitely be picking this up if it's been remastered. My guess is it will be like Firefly - live action remastered in full HD with CG visual effects upscaled.

Wow this is a total blast from the past. We used to watch the show all the time.. not sure how it will hold up today, but i'll give it a shot again.

Hmm... considering Madman have indicated they may not release the rest of Columbo I would think that this could be just as risky a proposition with them potentially only releasing the first season of this. A Complete series would be a better idea for consumers. At least we'd know you won't end with an incomplete collection.

SeaQuest is been released by Via Vision, Madman Entertainment is only the distributor in this case.

Yeah, Madman distributes their product, but Via Vision is its own company. They're pretty good at getting full series out, though sometimes they have to do it in a roundabout way (picking up the unreleased seasons of some series, then acquiring the earlier ones afterwards). I'd be surprised if this wasn't an upscale, but we'll see...

go all 3 seasons on dvd , yeagh the sets are cool en Scheider is always solid but the scripts and vxf are very very week by today's standards.
still.... curious about more details about this release

Season 3 was never released on DVD in North America either.

Very much hoping that this is going to come to Canada on Blu-ray, and all three seasons this time.
