The original and the remake are both masterpieces, IMO. I don't prefer one over the other.

So two different sets of filmmakers have told this story brilliantly and 'why' is your first reaction when reading that another set of filmmakers wants to take a crack at it?

Yeah.

So what ?

The studios have no more ideas. Not that I should have to explain myself.

'Why' just seems like an odd reaction given that you feel that different filmmakers have been successful with this same source material.

Set this one in space on an asteroid Armageddon-style and I'm in.

At the current rate the fourth one won't be released for like fifty years so what do I care.

Same here both are edge of your seat films. Never have seen the third one it was called Violent Road. Be good if its any where near Sorcerer and Wages of Fear. Hope they keep CE to a minimum and use all practical effects.

Might be the first Ben Wheatley film I skip. Sorcerer was a fantastic remake. Why remake it again?

No, I think they are both breathtaking. As far as I am concerned comparing them would be akin to comparing Kurosawa's and Renoir's The Lower Depths.
