Sorry Star Trek fans but the logical decision here is Star Wars.

oh come on. People can obviously know which is better even if they haven't seen it. Can't you see into the future like everyone else?

I havent seen Star Wars yet but Im assuming that making a good Star Wars film is more of a challenge to make than making a good Star Trek film. But then again, that theory is based around how even Lucas could not even make his prequels seem similar in tone/style to the OT. But hey, maybe a director someday will make another prequel which matches the tone/style of the Lucas prequels with good direction/writing!

Maybe a better question would be, which one has the prettier lens flares?

The Force Awakens isn't a reboot though, it's a sequel.

Have to be SW, he can't possibly screw it up as badly as he did TREK. The fact somebody could make me miss any non-DS9 part of BermanTrek at all says an insane amount about how awful I found trek09 to be, ID only slightly less so.

I've never seen anything from Abrams I've liked, come to think of it. CLOVERFIELD was sorta okay, but he was just a producer on it.

Formally speaking, it is a sequel. But in the larger sense, Disney is rebooting the whole franchise. Thus all the other non-sequel movies.

Conversely, I've liked everything I've seen from J.J.

Except that's also not a reboot. That's just making other additional films.

And Super 8 is a fun film.

Exactly, and this is why I voted for Star Trek.
